Dog crates are safe places for your pet
Dog crates can help a dog achieve the feeling of being safe his ancestors in
the wild thousands of years ago in a den did. Modern "dens" are made of wire
or fiberglass. Dog crates should only be big enough for the puppy to stand
up, turn around and lie down. Young puppies rarely defecate in the den and
will move as far as possible to avoid that.

housebreaking. Take your dog or puppy out after she eats or awakens, give
her 10 minutes to relieve herself, then bring her back inside and crate her.
Eventually she will get the idea. These dog crates also allow your pet to
retreat from chaos, children, other dogs or a large crowd in a safe manner.
