Animal health care - every pet needs and deserves a certain basic level of care
No matter what pet you choose, it will require animal health care. The basic
care begins with you. Every animal needs an appropriate clean environment, a
healthy diet, proper exercise and attention from you. From a goldfish to a
horse each has its own animal health care needs.
It would be better to learn the animal health care needs of any potential
pet before you bring him home. Since most pets are cats or dogs, information
about them is more readily available. Rabies vaccines for dogs is required
by law just about everywhere in the United States and Canada. Other shots
while not required are recommended by most vets. And Bortadella vaccine to
prevent kennel cough is often required to board your animal.

You can ask your vet about the necessity of shots other than those required
